Louise Ravenscroft



Louise supervises the Police Team at Guildford, who provide legal representation to Surrey and Sussex Police. Louise has over 8 years of police experience, having worked in-house at Hampshire Constabulary before joining Weightmans Police Team in January 2017. Prior to her work in the public sector, Louise was a specialist military solicitor, often defending military personnel at Court Martial and undertaking employment cases against the Ministry of Defence.

Louise deals with a broad range of police matters, with particular expertise in Police Misconduct cases, domestic violence and public protection applications as well as a vast number of other Magistrates and Family Court applications. She has also represented Surrey Police at inquests.

Louise is often invited to deliver training to multiple police forces on new legislation and police powers, and is often sought after to represent other police forces outside of Surrey and Sussex due to her experience and knowledge.
