Mark is a Partner with over 25 years experience acting for insurers and their insureds in civil claims made against them, including where the damage involves significant personal injury. He has a varied portfolio of work including claims made under Professional Indemnity, Casualty and Cyber policies. Mark regularly assists insurers with coverage advice as well as liability and quantum of the claim made against the insured itself.
Specialties include Health and Safety in the workplace; Property Damage; breach of duty to the public including through Occupier's Liability, Defective Premises Act; Data Protection Act and general breaches through the Common Law including misuse of personal information.
Mark has a varied client base which incorporates household name insurance companies, including London Market, blue chip companies, and intermediaries such as claims management companies and loss adjusters.
Mark is strong in the sporting sector owing to his work on liability claims in the equine industry, holding a Masters Degree in International Sports Law and being the Legal and Commercial Director of Dartford Football Club, having direct experience of managing a sports business. Mark is noted in Legal 500 as 'pragmatic, knowledgeable' and 'tactically astute'.
