Richard qualified as a solicitor in 1997 with Clyde & Co and has since worked in both London and Brazil. He opened the São Paulo, Brazil office for Clyde & Co and managed it for around 7 years. He specialises in “dry” shipping matters, in particular charter party and bills of lading matters, and international trade and commodities work, advising commodity producers and traders on English law sale contract drafting or contractual disputes, in sectors including agribusiness, metals, mining, and petrochemicals. He is fluent in Portuguese.
