Sue McGorian has specialised in development work since she qualified as a solicitor in 1986. Sue joined Weightmans in March 2013 following its acquisition of the Manchester office of Semple Fraser where she was a legal director since March 2010. Prior to that Sue was a partner for 18 years with Bullivant Jones and then Hill Dickinson following the merger of the two firms. Sue has advised clients on a broad spectrum of high value property matters, dealing with complicated land assembly issues, planning and environmental matters, site acquisitions, joint venture agreements, development agreements, and sales and lettings with major national retailers. Similar work has also been undertaken for landowners and national house builders in connection with residential development. Sue has also acted for clients in the sale, acquisition and funding elements of investment property and general non-contentious landlord and tenant work.
Recent experience includes development work for Morbaine Limited and the Barratt Group and Bruntwood Limited. Other relevant experience includes development work and office lettings for Tesco Stores Limited; and development/investment work for Helical Bar Plc.
