Vanessa Banjo is an Associate in Weightmans Manchester office, with extensive experience in litigation and representing major insurers.

In recent years, Vanessa has specialised in construction and engineering matters, assisting insurer clients with property damage claims, and professional negligence and contractual disputes. Vanessa’s relevant experience includes advising on:

  • Complex and high value matters pertaining to commercial and domestic properties, and plant and equipment (such as CHP and Biomass facilities)
  • The pursuit, defence and settlement of subrogated recovery claims for losses resulting from manufacturing and installation defects, plant damage and theft, major escapes of water, and fires;
  • The terms and application of Contractors’ All Risk and Professional Indemnity insurance, and;
  •  Policy coverage regarding loss of plant and suspected fraudulent claims.
