Bill Molloy is a Partner in the commercial litigation team at Weightmans based in London.

Bill previously was Head of Technology and Life Sciences at an international law firm and more recently Head of Commercial Litigation at a leading national firm in London.

Bill advises in respect of high value corporate and shareholder disputes; commercial disputes and disputes concerning AI, technology, telecoms and data. Bill has significant experience of large scale technology, telecom and software development projects and associated intellectual property rights in the energy, life sciences and communication sectors. Most of these deals are international principally originating in US, Africa and Asia.

Bill regularly represents clients in respect of heavyweight and high-profile commercial litigation and arbitration under the auspices of most of the institutional rules. He has extensive experience of resolving very high value and complex commercial disputes often with a multi-jurisdictional remit and frequently advise on breaches of contract, termination rights, damages and emergency injunctive relief.

Bill also has significant experience of expert determination and mediation to resolve disputes.

Bill is a long standing member of the Society of Computers and Law ("SCL"​) and a committee member of the National IT Disputes Committee at the SCL.

Experience and notable cases:

• an international technology client in respect of a cross-border corporate dispute for a value in excess of US$525 million heading up a team of 12 and successfully obtaining the largest orders for fortification in the Commercial Court. This involved the instruction of local Counsel in the US and China;

• a corporate concerning an IT outage at a retail bank; and

• a mobile network relating to the roll out of a large scale wi-fi infrastructure network.
