Weightmans has announced a series of significant developments at its Leicester office, underscoring the firm’s commitment to growth, innovation, and delivering exceptional service to clients across the Midlands and nationally.
Set to bolster the firm’s Individuals offering, Weightmans welcomes two new Partners, Chantal Ul Haq-Weedon and Dipika Mistry.
Chantal joins the national Private Wealth team, bringing her expertise and sensitivity in acting for clients in the Court of Protection. She will lead Weightmans’ Court of Protection offering, managing finances and supporting best interest decisions for individuals lacking capacity. Chantal is recognised for her strong intermediary relationships and her experience in high-net-worth individuals who have an acquired brain injury and contested deputyship hearings. This makes her specialism pivotal to the firm’s continued growth in this area.
Dipika is highly regarded in the Midlands family law market and brings further strength and depth to the firm’s national Family team. She has a wealth of experience advising professionals, entrepreneurs, business owners and international clients on divorce, financial settlements, and in contested jurisdiction cases. Dipika’s reputation and expertise will be invaluable to clients and the team alike.
This positive news comes at a time of exciting change for Weightmans in the Midlands, coinciding with the appointment of Legal Director Luiza Balan as Leicester’s new Regional Office Head - succeeding Andrew Clarke - a recent refurbishment of the Leicester workspace, and the opening of a new office in Nottingham.
