Weightmans has been recognised as one of the country’s best law firms after being included in The Times Best Law Firms 2026 list - marking the firm’s eight consecutive appearance in the list.

The Times conducted surveys among thousands of lawyers and used their responses to identify the most highly recommended 250 law firms in England and Wales, and the top 20 in Scotland.

Weightmans - which has ten offices across the country - stood out – and was specifically commended for its excellence in family, financial crime, fraud and regularity, personal injury and clinical negligence, and professional negligence.

Managing Partner, Sarah Walton, commented:

“We are absolutely delighted to be recognised in The Times Best Law Firms list for the eighth consecutive year. This achievement is a testament to the sustained growth and commitment of our firm, and it’s particularly meaningful because it is based on recommendations from our peers within the industry.

“It reinforces our reputation for delivering client excellence both nationally and internationally and highlights the expertise and dedication of our talented people - without whom this recognition would not be possible. I am incredibly proud of what we continue to accomplish together, and grateful for the continued trust of our clients and colleagues across the industry.”

The news comes following a year of growth and successes for Weightmans; the firm reported record revenue of £145 million for the financial year ending March 31, 2025 - representing four years of consecutive growth; awarded Top Employer status for the 18th time with a top five ranking, by global body, Top Employers Institute; and granted the Gold rating by EcoVadis, positioning the firm in the top 5% globally among all legal and accounting firms assessed by EcoVadis for ESG/sustainability performance and processes.

Last month it also announced a record number of lawyers ranked in leading legal directories, featuring 617 experts across the Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners UK guides (up from 563 last year).
